I have to agree with Matt Redman, that the two greatest worship leaders in the universe are deep space and the deep sea. When I see deep space objects like Orion's Nebula, or Pleiades, I can't help but worship the creator of the heavens. And when I see some of the great creatures of the deep sea (or the funny looking ones), I can't help but worship the One who created them and created me. I don't know how anyone can. I look at these things in creation, how can you question a loving and intelligent creator? It baffles me.
I am called to teach people to see His glory in everything around them. We serve a glorious God and if we can get a grasp on that, then we will be able to see more of His glory and presence. The early church saw miracle after miracle and I believe it was because they were in awe of God. Acts 2:43 says, “Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.” Notice the order of things. 'Everyone was filled with awe', and then the signs & wonders manifested. As a church we desire to see more manifestations of His glory. But we aren't in awe of Him. We may say it with our lips, but our hearts are only looking for the signs. We need to quit seeking the promises and start seeking the One making those promises.
